Riser
Each of the vertical boards closing the spaces between the treads of stairways. Vertical face of a step supporting the tread in a staircase.

Roll, rolling
To install the floor joists or trusses in their correct place. (To "roll the floor" means to install the floor joists).

Romex
A name brand of nonmetallic sheathed electrical cable that is used for indoor wiring. A nonmetallic-sheathed electric cable of type NM or NMC.
Rock Anchor
A post-tensioned cable or steel rod inserted into a hole drilled in rock and grouted in place.
Roof Drain
A drain on the roof to carry away water to a downspout.
