A second roof built on top of the primary roof to increase the slope of the roof or valley. A saddle-shaped, peaked construction connecting a sloping roof with a chimney. Designed to encourage water away from the chimney joint. A small false roof used to divert water from behind a projection above the roof, such as a chimney.
