3 Ways to Save Time with Rep Connect
Use Rep Connect to find alternates, track down products from your inspo board, compare product pricing, and more!
The Source team recently expanded our most used tool, the Source Rep Finder. In addition to finding reps, you can now email them directly from Source! We built Rep Connect to help you get trusted information, faster. You can use this tool to message multiple reps at once (bye bye copy + pasting emails!) and can choose to include Source on the email as backup in case your chosen rep doesn’t respond. Check out our 3 favorite ways that Rep Connect helps us save time, or get right to using it for yourself!
1) Find Alternates
Your tile selection for a lobby was V.E.d. Instead of tracking down new options and individually emailing reps, follow these simple steps to get the new options coming to you!
Go to Rep Connect (you need a free account as a verified commercial architect, designer, or contractor).
Select an Audience. Select the category you are interested (in this case, tile), refine further by brand, if you have a few in mind. Click on the rep(s) you want to message and select a topic (in this case, you could use “Find a Product”).
Craft a Message. Follow the instructions on screen to provide the reps with a few details about your project. You can even attach a photo or other documents! Select your message urgency, and indicate whether you want Source Backup.
Get Answers. Your message will be privately sent to every rep you selected, and you’ll be copied on the responses.
2) Find Products from your Inspo Board
You’ve found a fabric you love, but you found it in a picture on Pinterest and the link is to some dodgy blog. Use Rep Connect to message several fabric reps with a photo of your inspiration to see if they have anything similar.
3) Compare Pricing
You have a few marble-look countertops in mind and want to easily compare pricing. Select the countertop reps you want to message, send some information about the application and quantity, and compare their responses. (Tip: After you’ve receive quotes, you can look up your chosen products in the Source catalog to compare standardized technical details in addition to the pricing! Maybe one of your higher-cost options also has sustainability documentation or better durability.)
Other Ways to Use Rep Connect
Filters. Find the rep you’re looking for by using our filters or search functions. You can filter reps by category or by brand.
Source Backup. Check this box and Source will be CCed on all of your outbound requests. We’ll keep an eye on the request, and if you haven’t gotten a response in the time period you’ve indicated, we will step in to help out.
Message Multiple Reps. No need to copy and paste! Type your message once and we will split it out into private messages with each rep.
Message Urgency. Designate how quickly you need a response back from the rep(s) you’re messaging.
Inquiry Types. Reduce back-and-forth by keeping your messages specific to the information you need. Selecting an inquiry type helps your reps help you with quick and accurate information. Don’t worry, you can still send a general “whasssup” to your favorite rep by selecting “General Questions”.
